Haven’t we been busy this week!

I use the term “we” loosely obviously coz I haven’t actually made any James and Amelia samples for the blog this week!  Good job everyone else is working hard!  OK this time first up is Carole Cann’s tumbling James card.  She has cut the slide away and mounted James onto a topper for a great spinner card

Lorraine gave me permission to pinch off her blog as well so here are a couple of lovely cards from her starting with one for the girls.  I am really excited as Lorraine is hoping to come to the shop this week.  It will be a real treat to meet her.

some more goodies from the DT

We know how much you like to see the samples that our team produce so here are a few more for you!  First up Valerie’s footballer, layering the buttons is a cool idea and gives it real dimension.  I think this is a great card for boys of all ages (in fact if my husband hadn’t just come in and spotted me uploading this I might have been tempted to “borrow” it!

Next up is one of Kims card featuring the Indian Squaw.  There is something really serene about this image and I loved the soft velvet rick rack Kim used.  It somehow summed up this character for me,

Not that I’m feeling serene right now as whilst typing this, Ian has just spilt a red ink cartridge all over the beige carpet in the study.  Oh well. another stain to blend in with the one from when he had a go at the black cartridge a couple of weeks ago.  Am I the only one or is your other half a tad clumsy too?!

More James and Amelia

Our wonderful design team have come up with some beautiful James and Amelia cards and I would like to thank them all. 

So from Kim we have Amelia, she has used some Basic Grey papers from the Periphery range and coloured here with the Derwent Coloursoft pencils

 

From Bev we have Amelia on her swing, Bev used Distress inks and twinkling H20’s to colour her. 

and from Valerie we have James with Zack the dog, she has managed to get loads of texture on this card which you can’t really see from just a picture.

NOT LONG TO GO!

It’s not long to go now until 1st August when James and Amelia are released and with Isa on holiday it’s down to me to get some of the wonderful samples we have posted on the blog (Oh Dear!  You know what I am like with attaching pictures!).  Anyway here goes with four wonderful cards from the designer herself, Christine dark.

EXTRAVAGANZA WEEKEND – 13 & 14 SEPTEMBER

We are pleased to be able to release further info regarding our September extravaganza weekend.  This is going to be a fantastic event and amazingly is still FREE!

 

We have managed to arrange a truly sensational line up of demonstrations and workshops for you.

We will be releasing details of the workshop programme shortly.  The workshops will cost £2.50 and you will make a complete project to take away with you.  They are limited to 12 people and last for 1 hour each.  We are also running the lucky dip again for those who book and attend the workshops and, as those of you who came last time will know, all of the prizes have a value greater than the cost of the workshop.
